I hate to be break even

I currently read a forum entry at HUSNG and a member posted that he has a ROI about +15% between 20$-50$ Limits over 1000 games. I am a bit disapointed because I play IMHO very good Poker and I get my chips in as a favorite and get coolered and coolered again. Thats not fair...btw I love that song by Lily Allen :-). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwLLyM3jMMY&feature=related The funny thing is...no it isn't funny I win against good players and lose against bad players and I'm getting frustrated. I had a break even streak over 20.000 Hands at 6max tables, but I must say I played about 15.000 Hands a month, what is not very much and got crazy. I hate the advices stay calm be patient it gets over...grrrrrrrrrr. Waht is a blog worth...my own blog....where I am responsible for...where I can scream and shout but nobody hears me. Ok, things could get much worseI...dont lose...but surely I will not lose, I will not be break-even I will win. What does a player think to go allin in with 98 OOP and he calls my 4bet shove with about 40BB???? What does he think I have? ...it doesnt matter what I had due to the fact the flop came 998....grrrrrrrrrrr. OK I should get down now....The best way for a women is to go shopping....so stay tuned :-)

  1. Don't go shopping! First you have to make money, unless thomasny is your sugar-daddy :)

If you are losing to bad players, it's almost always because you are bluffing too much, and not value-betting enough. Good luck!

  3. Hey! This is manganise from HUSNG.com, the one you happened to play by chance last night!

Hope you have a great time in Egypt, am jealous of you, have always wanted to go there! Unfortunately I'm in London and the weather isn't that great but maybe I'll find some time to get away before Christmas.

Very good game by the way, you were unlucky not to win it considering I was left with only 70 chips after the TT < AK pre-flop all in. Luckily I managed to catch a few nice hands and double up a few times which got me back into the game.

Now I hope you welcome my comments, I am by no means an expert but I'd like to give you some information that I noticed about your style of play that I think can help you improve even more.

I exploited your style quite a lot, I noticed that you folded a lot to my minraises and when you checked the flop out of position you were almost always weak. I think you should mix in some check-raises to keep people like me guessing. I was stabbing at the pot with any two cards once you'd checked to me so I was picking up a lot of free money.

I think your preflop play is very solid, including your 3-betting and 4-betting ranges. I found it wasn't too difficult to tell when you had a good hand because you always bet it on the flop and if you didn't you checked and folded to a bet. I heard alarm bells when I saw you raise or bet on the flop, and could get away pretty easily from the situation and fold as a result with my marginal hands.

Basically I'd advocate betting more in limped pots even when you haven't connected with the flop, in order to disguise the times that you have a good hand and do it better.

Look forward to exchanging hand histories with you and having a chat about it. Anyway enough poker chat - enjoy the shopping and the holiday and have some fun! :)

  4. Hi John,

I really appreciate your comment a lot. It is good to get feedback about my play and I am happy that you honestly made that comments. As I told you yesterday I have many leaks in my game and one of them ist to play straight forward ABC 6max poker in HU SnG. I think that shows how exploitable I am. I also look forward to exchange HH and playing some matches against each other. Probably we could play in a lower Limit for training reasons. Was very nice to play with you yesterday and nice chatting, too. Funny that we met by chance as HUSNG members anyway :-). So take care.

  5. Primordial...its a pleasure for me to get feedback from a such good player and coach. Surely I have a lot of questions that will be placed in the future. My goal is to see more videos untill my holiday starts, get a healthy break from poker and come back with a fresh mind and crush the 10$ limits :-). Your concept video slides are allready on my ipod ;-).
    Cheers
